MISSION & DIVERSITY STATEMENT

The American Association of University Women advances    equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research.  In principle and in practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to members to full participation in this organization on the basis of race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national orientation, disability or class.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this branch shall be to unite the graduates of accredited colleges and universities for practical educational work, to concentrate and increase their effectiveness in the community for the solution of social and civic problems, to participate in the development and promotion of the policies and programs of the AAUW, to contribute to its growth and advancement, and to cooperate in its state division and regional work.

AAUW Educational Foundation (EF) provides funds to advance education, research, and self-development for women and to foster equity and positive societal change.

AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund (LAF) provides funding and a support system for women seeking judicial redress for sex discrimination
